Finally tried Chelsea Joes and it was a great experience! Nothing too fancy, just a quaint hometown place with delicious food! Easy on the wallet and they offer specials nearly every night! A place popular with the locals and a friendly staff! They also have karaoke every Friday and Saturday night! I had the homemade chips, and open face roast beef and ate every bit! Certainly a place worth trying!

This is an amazing place. It's secluded among everything else on the highway, but is worth a try. Great homemade food and nice servers. It's very cozy. If you are ever visiting the grand strand, be sure to check out this place!

I'm pretty sure they chained up little Southern grannies in the kitchen. The food is THAT good! They have rice and gravy as a side. I saw that and stopped here immediately. This place is good at southern, home-style cooking. They fry things and fry them well. They make potato salads and tuna salads like it's their sole purpose in life. You should be impressed by all this. We got the Sunday special of fried chicken (worth the 20 min wait they advertise in the menu), and a cold plate that had potato salad and tuna salad with cheese and fruit (canned peaches). See pictures and be amazed. Disclaimer: The salad bar is bare minimum. This place is not for health-conscious eaters but entirely worth the splurge!!!!

An all American sit down traditional restaurant with a sizable bar and an additional dining room. The wait staff and owners all participated in serving dinner, and a rather large crowd of locals arrived right at 5pm, just as though someone had rung the dinner bell. Veterans and Sports fans alike will feel right at home here, as the decor speaks of patriotism I've rarely seen elsewhere. A full rack of excellent BBQ ribs, home made mashed potatoes, sweet tea, and home made coleslaw were more than enough to eat. I'll have to come back to try a cobbler or two next time.

Spent nearly an hour between the time we walked in the door and when our food finally arrived. Sat for at least 10 minutes before our drink orders were taken and the place didn't seem super busy...lots of open tables. My husband ordered the chilli mac, which he reported was good. I had the special, a cheeseburger and fries. I felt the hamburger itself was bland. The sandwich was average. Not terrible, definitely not great. My youngest (2) had pb&j. The bread was dried out on one side. (I want to note the waitress took special care to make sure our toddler wasn't handed a hot plate. I appreciated that greatly.) The other two kids had no complaints about their food. We felt the waitress was nice and helpful. However, 1.5 hours for a meal at a place that isn't really busy with a toddler is a bit much. At the beginning of our visit, we had discussed stopping by for lunch the next day. The menu advertised an appetizing and inexpensive lunch. We've since changed our minds.

Good value, good service Seated immediately, and the menu was simple and easy to read. Coffee poured as I was sitting, and my order arrived quickly. Fast, efficient and tasty breakfast. Well done!!

We wanted a quiet breakfast & that's exactly what we got. The waitresses were very friendly. Its an American dinner kind of place. I had eggs, bacon, hash browns & toast. Husband had french toast & just had to try the grits. All was hot & fresh. Cooked exactly as we ordered. Decor is a little eclectic but they certainly like to support our troops which is a great thing to see! Would highly recommend stopping by.

The food was very plentiful. It was very bland. I had grilled chicken that appeared to be well seasoned, but had no flavor and was very tough. My daughter said her fried shrimp didn't taste quite right and she left more than half on her plate. My mothers roast beef was tough and bland. Our waitress stated off very nice & attentive but after we. Received our food, we didn't see her until time to go. She didn't ask if everything was ok even though we all left copious amounts of food on our plates. Too many good restaurants in this area, will not return to this one.

Tried breakfast here Sunday - who knew they were open then. They serve breakfast Wed - Sun and have since Jan. Some of the folks that worked at Nibils are doing breakfast here. I had a western omelet which was excellent, hubby not a big fan of breakfast but does occasionally eat grits or corned beef hash had both and pronounced them very good

The food was just okay. I had fish and chips and it was a bit greasy. The coleslaw needed some salt and pepper and the hush puppies were overcooked.
